Overview

A world-class convention facility is about to take center stage in Alaska’s largest city, increasing Anchorage’s civic and convention capacity by more than 300 percent.

With views to the spectacularly beautiful Chugach mountain range, the convention center and its meeting rooms enhance the cultural experience both indoors and out, as well as provide the functionality that is expected from a premier meeting facility.

When it’s completed in 2008, the 25,332 square foot ballroom will have the capacity for 140 booths, 1,800 banquet seats and 2,867 theatre style. The exhibit hall will accommodate 274 trade show booths, 3,408 banquet seating and 5,000 theatre space. The flexible space will expand as needed, providing 10,372 square feet of meeting rooms.

The Dena’ina Civic & Convention Center includes:

  • Heated Entry Plazas.
  • Protected vestibule entrances.
  • A pedestrian-friendly roof design to prevent snow shedding below.
  • Design allows natural light to flow into Ballroom, Lobbies and Pre-function spaces.
  • Glazed walls provide light and activity to surrounding street areas when viewed from the exterior during dark winter season.
  • View of Chugach Mountains from Ballroom and Pre-function space.
  • Provides ample space for conventions, civic events, trade shows, business events, seminars and specialty events.
