Full Closures at E Street & 5th Avenue

Drivers should expect a full closure at the intersection of E Street and 5th Avenue for the E Street Corridor Enhancement Project during the following times:

From the MOA Traffic Department: We have developed a visual timeline for some of the road closures planned in downtown this summer, including major closures related to special events.

Glenn Highway & Bragaw Street Closures (UPDATED)

June 17th, 2008

The Glenn-Bragaw Interchange Project will allow three lanes of traffic in each direction on the Glenn Highway to flow under a new raised Bragaw Street. Off ramps on the Glenn Highway for east and west bound Bragaw Street traffic will be added as will a Bragaw Street pedestrian underpass. The interchange is expected to be completed the fall of 2008.

E Street Road Closure

June 13th, 2008

Construction Unlimited, Inc. — the contractor hired for the E Street Improvements — will close E Street between 5th & 6th Avenues at 7:00pm June 16 through 6:00am on July 14, 2008.

The Bricks in Town Square

June 9th, 2008

The commemorative bricks at the E Street side of Town Square are being removed tonight. Learn more about what the Muni is doing with these bricks the bricks from F Street.

Closure at G/H Alley between 10th and 13th Avenues

May 23rd, 2008

Beginning Tuesday, May 27, expect intermittent full road closures in the area of G & H alley between 10th Ave. and W. 13th Ave. for water utility upgrades. Residents will maintain limited access. Please follow appropriate detour routes and alternate residential parking instructions.

Construction on the F St. Connectivity Project

May 2nd, 2008

Construction on the F St. Connectivity Project has commenced. This project is managed by Alaska Center for Convention and Trade, LLC for the Municipality of Anchorage and constructed by Davis Constructors and Engineers. Work will be occurring within and near Town Square Park. The Park will remain “Open” but will be fenced off in areas to protect users. The work is scheduled to begin May 1, 2008, continuing throughout the summer.

Traffic Control Plan - F Street
